The Collider is an upcoming bot in Random Access Mayhem its sprite pictured above with the current indev Toasterbot stock assets as well as latest available concept art. Currently as of recent dev-streams this much is known:

  • Collider was originally a riot control bot/swatbot.
  • Collider's primary fire has both an active and passive component:
    • Passive: The Collider projects a shield in front of it that will "catch" projectiles thrown into it, surrounding the Collider with those same projectiles. The passive shield gets smaller the more projectiles are gained.
      • Flame projectiles will be stored in a separate ring from normal projectiles and deal contact damage before flickering out.
    • Active: The Collider will rapidly spin the collected projectiles before firing them with such force they become lasers. The rotation and fire speed increases the more bullets are placed into it.
      • Grenades will not be turned into lasers, but instead are thrown back as-is with great force.
      • The projectiles do damage based on what was grabbed (i.e. fire does less damage despite how fast you can build it up).
  • Collider's' secondary fire is a tackle:
    • This damages and knocks back enemies.
    • This breaks off pieces of tackled enemies, which are immediately turned into projectiles and stored in Collider's main projectile orbit.

Trivia

The original sprite for the Collider/Shieldbot.
  • Collider's name is partly a reference to the concept of particle accelerators, or more specifically, the Hadron Collider, the world's biggest particle accelerator.
  • The GOLEM ALPHA refers to the Collider as both Exterminator and Phalanx.
  • The old version of the Collider had a different secondary attack, being a slow teleport with a low-damage shockwave attack.
An in-dev sprite for Collider, utilizing a previously unused stock asset known as Toasterbot.
