CASH

CASH is the current apex of RAM challenge runs, combining these 4 difficulties:

CRANKED: No Global Energy

ALKALINE: No Local Energy Regeneration

STOICISM: No Local Energy on Kill

HALF-LIFE: Only One Local Swap

By combining these 4 difficulty modifiers, the run essentially becomes a no-swap run, with only one swap being available for the entire run and necessitating a cautious playstyle.

As of 9/28/2023, CASH has been completed with all four hosts, with only one player, BurgerMinus, having completed a CASH run with all 4 hosts.

First CASH Completions

Disregarding patches, these are the first completions of each host's CASH.

Both the first completed run of CASH and the first run of Steeltoe CASH, completed pre-demo release during the 0.2.X playtest by JayDee.

Completed by BurgerMinus, first and second recorded run of Aphid CASH, with both an Ultrasonic Nozzle and Internal Combustion start, completed post-demo release.

Trivia

• CASH was originally a no-swap challenge, as the one swap had to be saved for swapping into the CPU, but in the current patch (v0.3.9) defeating the CPU will refill Local Energy, so the initial energy can be used to swap in an emergency. However, none of the runs featured here use a swap.
  • CASH is essentially the easier version of the CASH'D difficulty mode, which is the hardest combination of difficulty modifiers due to essentially being a no-swap and no-hit challenge. As of 12/14/23, the only completed CASH'D run with video proof is this run by BurgerMinus using Deadlift.
• The first completed run of Deadlift CASH was completed prior to BurgerMinus' recorded run by LB, but no footage of it exists due to recording issues.
  • BurgerMinus' run stands as the first Deadlift CASH run completed post demo release, and the second overall.
• The first completed run of CASH post demo release, as both Steeltoe and as a whole, is a run by Timeless
• The Hazard, Incognito, Krypton, and Olympia skins used to be unlocked by beating CASH with their respective bot. However, this was changed to the current unlock criteria in order to be more reasonable for the demo release.
