Random Access Mayhem features Levels which are divided into Floors. The RAM Demo currently has only one complete level, but at the end of the game there is a teaser floor for the currently-unnamed second level called Onward, which ends the Demo.

Trivia

From RAM Developer Andrew Cunningham's RAM videos and Q&A streams, we have a limited amount of information on what Level 2 will be like.

  • Level 2 will be a much darker, more claustrophobic stage with "a lot more emphasis on lighting" according to the most recent Q&A stream.
    • Based on various teasers, Level 2 seems to be a city stage.
  • Level 2 will introduce the "Tachi" and "Collider", and these bots will retroactively appear in Level 1 after first met in Level 2. Both of these bots are based on bots from the original GOLEM version of the game.
    • "Tachi" is the bot seen in the ending of the Demo, and it will function as a combo-based "ambush predator" type bot, playing into the more claustrophobic atmosphere that is planned for Level 2.
    • "Collider" is a bot that has not appeared in the RAM Demo yet, with it's prior version being found in the GOLEM ALPHA as the Shieldbot. It is nearly fully-developed, acting as a fast defensive bot capable of defending other bots and counterattacking with lasers.

There is some limited information on the rest of the game in the Q&A stream, though this is subject to change:

  • Level 3 will have an "overgrown jungle industrial" theme, and will likely feature a reworked Archerbot alongside a completely new, unknown bot, both retroactively appearing in Levels 1 and 2.
    • The Shaman/Sorcerer will not be appearing in this level unless it is completely reworked, as according to developer Andrew Cunningham its old moveset was obsoleted and ”cannibalized” by the current Deadlift moveset.
  • The final level is planned to be a final boss level with no normal floors.
