The mid-level (first) shop.

Server Maintenance is the Shop for Level 1 and appears at the halfway point of Level 1 and again before the boss stage, appearing as the 5th/10th floor of the 11 floor sequence. It is the only floor aside from The Peak that is guaranteed to be in the same place every time. Excess Fitness obtained can be spent here on Upgrades and Repairs to the GOLEM Agent and their current Host, but the pre-boss shop prices are higher than those in the mid-run shop.

The Shop features 3 major sections, Repair, Roulette, and Schematics.

Repair

The first shop's UI, displaying nothing bought, but everything readily available.
The pre-CPU (second) shop.

This is the left column of purchases, with there being only two:

  • Global Energy Refill (3500/5200 Fitness): This will refill half of your Global Energy bar, it is unusable in CRANKED
  • Repair (100 Fitness): This will repair your current host in the Shop to full health.

It is worth noting that you can only purchase upgrades in this column once per visit, if you are missing more than half of your global energy you will need to refill it over two separate visits.

Roulette

Each of the four hosts appear in the middle column that will grant that host a random common upgrade for 700/1100 Fitness. The upgrade can be any common upgrade in that bot's pool.

  • After buying a random upgrade, the next upgrade for that bot will increase in price by 700/1100, but the price of the other bots' random upgrades will remain the same.
    • First Aphid upgrade costs 700/1100, second Aphid upgrade costs 1400/2200, third costs 2100/3300 etc.
  • If no common upgrades remain for that bot, you will instead receive a random upgrade of any rarity for one of the three other bots.

Schematics

A column of four upgrades will be shown and chosen randomly from pools of bots, not dissimilar to how Upgrades are chosen when interacting with the stick of ram.

The upgrades come in three tiers:

  • Common (CMMN): 1200/1800 Fitness
  • Radical (RDKL): 2400/3600 Fitness
  • Breakthrough (BRKTH): 3600/5400 Fitness

The MODEL column indicates the bot to which the upgrade applies:

Tips

  • The Shop will be where the majority of Trickshot farming will go towards, with proper luck in terms of getting stages with many encounters and extremely liberal use of Trickshots one is able to buy out a large amount of the shop, boosting a run much further than what could be seen through just the upgrade sticks on each stage.

Trivia

The shopkeeper Thorn, a sentient monitor.
  • The shop is attended by a sentient monitor who refers to themself as Thorn.
    • Thorn says that "Thorn" is not their real name, but is a reference to the Old English letter of the same name.
    • Thorn will give the player a name picked from a random list of names, many of which are also references to various media.
